KXOL 1360 plans to celebrate what would have been its 60th anniversary

Plans are in the making for an official KXOL night at La Grave Field coming before the season is up.  This would commemorate what would have been KXOL 1360 AM's 60th year of broadcasting.

KXOL was the play-by-play station of the Ft. Worth Cats starting in 1947.  KXOL signed off the air in 1985 but its memories and history still live via the Internet at www.KXOL1360.com.

Mark Presswood, Sr. Vice President of the Fort Worth Cats Baseball & Bell/LaGrave Development says "the Cats, would love to help make this happen!"  Plans will include having many of the old KXOL personalities take turns on the PA mic and on the Radio with Emil Moffatt.  An official KXOL bobblehead is not out of the question yet!

Coverage of the Ft. Worth Cat's was covered on KXOL 1360 AM.  Some of the play-by-play voices included the late Bill Hightower, Joe Wills, actor Norman Alden, CBS newsman Bob Scheiffer and many others.  Stay tuned to KXOL 1360.com for further developments.
